Privacy policy

This is the website of GDG on Campus APSIT, a student chapter at A.P. Shah Institute of Technology, Thane. We run the chapter and this website. The chapter is not run by Google.

When you join the chapter, we store:

• your first name and last name,
• your year and branch,
• your college email address (it must end with @apsit.edu.in).

If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your name and your college email address. We do not receive your Google password, and we do not ask Google for any other information, such as your contacts or your files. If you join with an email and a password instead, we store the password in a protected (hashed) form. We cannot read it.

The site also uses cookies that keep you logged in (for up to 30 days after your last visit) and protect forms from misuse. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We use this information to run your chapter account, to show your name on Study Jam leaderboards that you take part in, and to let chapter organizers contact members about chapter activities. We do not sell your information. We do not share it with other companies, except the services that run the website (hosting and the database).

Only the chapter organizers who manage the website can see member details. Leaderboards show names and scores, not email addresses.

You can ask us to correct or delete your account at any time. Contact a chapter organizer, for example one of the Technical Heads listed on the About page, from your college email address.

If we change this policy, we will update this page.
